The Cobwebbed Forest is a site that started out as an academic exercise for me to develop my HTML, CSS, PHP and SQL skills, and has turned into an ambitious project to become an eminent Dragon Warriors resource on the Internet (if not preeminent, or is that too ambitious\presumptuous...?).

Within the Cobwebbed Forest, you will find...:
  • The Workshop containing several applications and automated tools to make planning and running a game smoother
  • The Downloads area from which a number of profession, race, spellbook and rules reference sheets, character sheets and character development packs (amongst other things) can be downloaded free
  • The Library of house rules, maps and other online reference material
  • The Pavilion, in which Legend-themed games are played
  • And some other stuff, too, so just head on over and explore :D

Suggestions for content and\or improvement, and\or just comments on the site are always welcome.

I'm going to start getting back to developing the Cobwebbed Forest and to ensure I stay on track am going to have a monthly 'Focus on the Forest' that I'll post in this thread and keep folks posted of updates, but also listen to suggestions.

So, February's Focus on the Forest will be the Downloads section, with the objective of:

  1. Update the format of all the downloads so they are all consistent.
  2. Add halflings to the non-human races reference sheet.
  3. Add Ordo Draconis professions as individual reference sheets.
  4. Add Ordo Draconis professions to the Ranking Sheets.
  5. Creating and making available a canon character sheet & party reference sheet (i.e., one without Guile & Conviction and some of my own house-rule elements).

So if anyone would like to suggest any additional downloads\reference sheets and\or modifications to existing downloads\reference sheets, now's the time to ask as I'll be working on it from 1st Feb. Feel free to mention stuff you've seen for other games that you've found useful, and I'll see if I can convert it to work with Dragon Warriors, too.

The standard party reference sheet would be something I would use. Is there any way to include a marching order or party formation record?

Another thing I'd find useful is a party loot sheet, so I can record what bits are found where, who's got them and what they do. Saves page flipping to find out what that "unknown vial" contains.

So, some end-of-week-1 updates:

Partially done. The character sheet is now available, but the party reference sheet is still the 'old' style.

Next weekend is our (seventh) anniversary, and the following weekend is St. Valentine's, so there's potentially not going to be another update until close to the end of the month now...

Comments and feedback on the new sheets is always welcome, 'cos I'm happy to revisit anything y'all'd like improved.

Lee, I noticed a couple of errors on your reference sheets when we played last weekend.

1. The Magic reference sheet, 2nd para of Casting Spells. Psychic Fatigue check says "13 + Mystic’s
Rank + Spell’s Level" should be "13 + Mystic’s Rank - Spell’s Level"
2. The Magic reference sheet, 2nd para of Spell Expiry. "Warlocks roll 1d12..." should be "Warlocks roll 1d20...". Also Warlock spells end on a 20, not 12.

Unless you have changed these intentionally? The last para of Spell Expiry implies this :"In either case, on a roll of 12, the spell ends."

Cheers,
Nick

A comment my players had about the two different character sheets that I printed for them - one from the DW book, the other from Magum Opus Press - was that there was nowhere for their character sketches. They must like doodling while i'm reading out descriptions of rooms.

Both fixed in the new sheet (well, as of this morning!). Good spots, both of them. You can tell I don't play Warlocks in my campaigns...

Done!

When viewed on-screen the sheets look like there are lines missing, but if you zoom in, they are there and should print out OK (but let me know if not...).

The party reference sheet now also has a column for marching orders (1 abreast and 2 abreast) and a small notes about the group.

And still plenty of February left in which to do the reference sheets for the Ordo Draconis professions and a party loot sheet :).

Now available in the Cobwebbed Forest is a (basic) Dragon Warriors Loot Log, for recording what artefact was found during which adventure and carried\used by which character, plus a line for notes (for what the item does and, more importantly, what the character doesn't know it does...).

Landscape version: http://cobwebbedforest.co.uk/downloads/DWLootLog.pdf
Portrait version: http://cobwebbedforest.co.uk/downloads/DWLootLog_2.pdf

Use page 1 if you like the added 'flavour', or just use page 2 if you just want the log. Or both if you print double-sided :).

Feedback and suggestions welcome.

Wow, i feel so spoilt! Thanks Lee.

For the loot sheet, i was envisaging something more of a table, with columns and a header. Things I might jot down are: object name, powers/game effect, brief description, where it was found (and reference/page number), who has it.

Another thing to note is whether the players know about the ability or not. So maybe a series of boxes (like you have now) with top line of name, where found, owner then next line description then next lines powers with a tick box if the players know about the power.

Hmmm... that might be too much overhead for some of the simpler items.
