I originally created this table to balance the Witcher Profession I'm writing, but then coloured it for other Professions. The top table shows Professions with the same attribute value (same colour = same value) and the bottom one compares attribute value (green, yellow, orange, red, black is best to worst).

Is it helpful? Does the Witcher look balanced?

That's an interesting table, thanks for sharing.

Although it only compares first ranked professions, the Witcher is clearly a powerful profession on paper - it has the highest or second-highest value in all secondary ability scores except Magical Attack (which is of minimal value to the Witcher anyway).

But balance is more about how the profession evolves over time, so it would be interesting to see how the Witcher's secondary ability scores compare to the other professions throughout the ranks (one table per attribute, perhaps?) This would be quite interesting to see generally, of course, and it occurs to me I have all of this information in a database for my NPC Generator app, so I might even write a little script to do it myself... If I get the time (so, basically, no promises!)

Lastly, of course, balance isn't just about the numbers, it's about how much of an opportunity other player professions will have to shine during a typical adventure - how many adventuring capabilities or role-playing opportunities are invested in the Witcher profession that might overlap with the areas in which other professions might otherwise have shone. And what additional unique abilities and opportunities does it bring to the game (other than for those players looking for a video game crossover)?
