I am currently working on a Brymstone supplement, based primarily on the work done by Robert Dale (from whom I have permission to do what I'm doing). Portions of the supplement will be familiar to anyone who frequents Dave Morris's blog, as some of the material has previously been made available there, but there is also (plenty) of new material I'm assembling for the final supplement.

Currently, I'm just going through and putting all the different material into a single document (currently around 50 pages), doing some formatting, and marking where I want to flesh out a section or two, etc., but I also plan to redraw the maps in colour, particularly the campaign maps, an example of which, my map of the lands around Brymstone, is available from this page of the Cobwebbed Forest: http://cobwebbedforest.co.uk/library/ma ... =ellesland. I could, however, do with help reproducing a colour version of the city map - I have Profantasy's City Designer, but my skills with it are still in their infancy. If anyone wants to volunteer to provide a shiny version of the city map (http://fabledlands.blogspot.co.uk/2010/ ... stone.html) it would be most welcome.

I'd like to think that the material I have on the city, and the campaign set in its environs, would fit into a wider sourcebook on Thuland, about which there has previously been some discussion in another forum (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=63). I'll probably produce a zoomed-in map of Thuland at some point soon, in the same format as my existing maps of Northern Albion, Glissom, and Ereworn, that I'd also be happy to contribute thereto.

Would you be interested in the campaign notes I used for Ice in Their Bones which was partially set in Brymstone?

I'd like to get the Thuland project going.

So does Lee :) But yes, I know City Designer very well. I'll take a look later today and see if I think I can do something with that.

Actually, I've just had a quick look at the Brymstone map now - and, yes, I'd be happy to do a City Designer version of it. But first of all I think we'd need to know or have decisions on which parts of the city are which (poor areas, versus rich ones, etc) and preferably what the numbered buildings are as well.

All right - I am beginning work on a city map, but I'd like opinions on a couple of issues.

First of all, the map I am basing this on had an overlapping area that I can't see. I've 'stretched it' and added in buildings to fill that gap as can be seen in red on this map. Do people think that looks OK? And also, there's a big green arrow pointing to a number I cannot read properly. Opinions as to what that number is would be useful (see the map on the Fablelands site).

Secondly, in terms of doing a map in CC3/CD3 it is useful to have some idea of what different areas of a city are like in terms of 'class'. Based on the businesses present, I've come up with these rough divisions - what do people think?

Cheers Shaun, I was hoping you were going to volunteer - I loved what you did with Ongus and am pleased to have you work on the Brymstone map.

I have a couple of additional sketches of Brymstone that have not been published on Dave's blog, which I have permission from Robert to share, now attached to this post. Hopefully this helps with the illegible number, and the overlap problem.

The key for the city numbers is on Dave's blog: http://fabledlands.blogspot.co.uk/2010/ ... stone.html. I'll be adding a little flesh to some of these to create additional plot hooks and adventure ideas for the city, but won't be taking too many liberties with Robert's original material. Hopefully these help you to determine the relative wealth of each area and design accordingly.

That'd be great - if the episodes for Ice in their Bones are compatible, I'd even consider segueing them with Robert's adventure episodes :).

If you'd like to PM me the download link to the notes, I'd love to see them.

Yes, thanks, those maps are a big help, and they do give me the number I couldn't read. I'll probably get started on a map tonight.
