In the spirit of opening up Legend, we've created a Google Doc for collaborating on Khitai.

Thank you Damian for the starter.

The names are weirding me out a bit.

Most of them kind of look like what you'd get if a westerner smushed the personal and family name together and then mispronounced it.

Might be worth getting one of our Chinese speakers in here ( be that Mandarin, Hakka, Fukienese, Cantonese or other).

Fair comment. I'm imagining that's precisely what would happen with the westernisation.

I've been quiet about Khitai since I'm trying to avoid putting too much work into it. Not proficient in Mandarin though I do speak fluent Cantonese, the dialect associated w Guangzhou province. You guys need help with names?

Yeah, Chonmaru doesn't feel right. But maybe it would pass for a Mongolian name, not some Khitan. Kong Ma Lu might be more appropriate.

If anyone has time, read romance of the three kingdoms. Best novel I've ever read which came about from 1400s Ming dynasty. I read the English translation.

Another for the list.
