OOC: Kuublu will move to flank it if there is room on the stairs. Hopefully that will expose its back to the others. He discards his sharpened stick and grasps for his sceptre. He'll try to hit it on the following round.

OOC: The stairs are single file. Theres a fair drop of about 5-8m on the left and a stone wall on the right.

OOC: Kuublu will try the sceptre in about 2 rounds. He'll try that until he's attacking the air again. Then he'll think of something else.

Trapped on the single-file stairs, Chiemeka calls to Ak and Pulgil at the top:

"Can you find another way down - by rope perhaps. Then we could attack this fiend from below as well as above."

Pulgil nodded and checked her belongings coming up empty in terms of rope, she shrugged and jumped off of the stairs down to the stone floor, landing below painfully as her ankle rolled on landing.....

In desperation, and having already seen it fail once in this tomb, Chiemeka attempts a Hold off the Dead spell...

Pulgil hobbles across the floor below towards the base of the stairs, Kuublu strikes out with the golden sceptre but misses his mark and Chiemeka chants in an ancient tongue.

The spectral form rears back for a moment in response to the sorcery then chuckles silently and rushes forward.

It strikes forward at Kuublu and he gasps as he sees its spear headed for his chest, but at the last moment it hits the edge of his new shield and is parried away. It hisses in anger at the group.

Kuublu thanks his ancestors, and the inhabitants of the (insert name here) villagers who gave him this blessed shield. For an enemy that is as elusive as the wind, his spear strikes are only too solid…. Kuublu will strike again to see how this spirit responds to sceptre strikes....

Kuublu strikes out with the sceptre but it seems to pass through the horrific form without causing harm, Chiemeka curses as he see's the ancient spirit overcome his sorcery, Ak'kululu hesitates unsure of what to do as Etwa cowers holding the ivory before him.

Pulgil hobbles painfully to the base of the stairs and draws her bow with a little trepidation she nocks one of the arrows they found in the tomb and releases it at the spectral form.

Kuublu see's the arrow coming straight at his face through the translucent spirit but it sinks into the non-flesh and the dead thing screams and turns toward Pulgil with hate in its eyes..

"Nothing can touch it!!! Save for those arrows!"

Kuublu drops the sceptre, with nothing else effective he eyes the Assegai arrayed around the ancient Queen. Perhaps they have the powers of the spirits?...

Kuublu will manoevre around and behind the spectre and make his way to grab one of those nine assegai.
