Dragon Warriors

Ammus sense suddenly scream at him that there is grave danger ahead, but Kuublu has already forged onwards....

A grey figure appears at the junction above you: a woman dressed in grey and white flowing kente and adorned with silver jewellery. Her garments undulate, as if blown by
a different wind, and her bare feet hover above the ground. She turns towards you and her eyes are blank orbs. Behind her are stumbling, mud-soaked male figures,
among them a young warrior who can only be Kgosi Olmar. Two of the figures look less washed out than the others and you conclude they must have been some of the men who were at the clifftop below....it seems in running from you they placed themselves in greater peril.

His eyes are locked in adoration upon the ghostly form.

The Mother of Moons stretches her mouth in a feral hiss.



The ground trembles.

She turns and leads the men away along the northern path a grey mist springs up out of nowhere and they are immediately lost from sight....

Kuublu is a little lost and tries to follow. He thought he might be running into something more unnatural. Hey, if demons all look this good, might be worth paying a visit to their realms. He composes himself and looks back to the others.

Mthunzi knows much of the evil ways of men and women, but remains sceptical about the supernatural, having no direct experience of it himself.

"Do not let your eyes deceive your hearts. This is no more than trickery and mummery, I have seen such many times. Kgosi Olmar is mesmerised by some trick of the mind. However, this woman is clearly dangerous, we must proceed with caution."

"You may be right, Mthunzi, but you should have more respect for the unknown. There are gods and demons walking the earth, and this 'woman' may be one of them."

As the tropical rain pours down the last of the mist vanishes and the path leading up is clear once more....there is no sign of the Mother of Moons or those who followed her...

The path splits to pass either side of an ancient mahogany tree, its height stunted by a lightning strike. As you pass, you see someone has carved faces into the tree. You suddenly realise that they look remarkably like you!

Pulgil has been travelling with the others in silence. But the carvings intrigue her. She will examine the carving of the face that looks like hers very carefully, looking for toolmarks to see if it shows signs of normal carving or something else. There are woodshapers where she comes from, and the best of them are sometimes rumoured to use magic in their work.

OOC: Player has been too ill to participate for a while. Now much better and intending to be active.

I too linger to inspect the carvings. This seems suspicious and I suspect some kind of illusion.
