Well, for all we know, they may have sappers, and there may be cunningly concealed siege machines placed theire to squash us. If we can move them further along to our destination, which as far as I'm concerned is the capital 'city' where I can make my reports. I'd assume most of the towns and villages fall under Buzwe. Perhaps if the donkeys can somehow be led away, it would mislead them and give us more time to flee. I need the GM to give a recommendation about routes and whether there is a loyal garrison somewhere not allied to Buzwe. Perhaps we can persuade whasisname at the village to take the donkeys in a different direction.

And I'm reluctant to go head to head, the battle might turn nasty for all we know.

- no sappers
-very few siege engines
- your still a fair way away but your getting onto more main throughfares from this point on
- he's the governor
- but as you know he's a bit of a dick
- you still need to collect Malim before you head 'home'
- slipping off the trail and heading through the brush to Orha looks somewhat doable
- nearest garrison is near Buzwes home
- theres another garrison a weeks ride west, heading straight there means leaving Malim behind

I expect the villagers will be able to help, if we just so indicate that it would inconvenience Buzwe. Not sure if Malim is under any danger, he's not part of the plot. Probably doesn't know much. Perhaps if we combine an illusion with a prop, like the opened club, we could mislead them in an alternative direction and that would give us time to reach Malim.

Is Orha the capital? Is that west as well?

Orha is the nearest village, the one you called at before coming up here. Its 30 mins away.

I think we need to 'misplace' the knobkerrie with the note, the note of course I will retain and indicate to the others in case Kuublu goes down. It needs to be sent to the great chief. We need a minor illusion to get them searching.... oh, and best avoid the main gate place, in case we let loose that thingy ancient chieftain.

Wonder if we could somehow get them to follow the knobkerrie? Any thoughts from the party?

Still not at my desk to check the rules, but I wonder if I could create a rider going past with the knobkerrie. Would it be distinctive enough that they would recognise it from a glimpse (assuming that such an illusion is possible...)?

Guess that would work, might confuse them until they realize theres no trail. Suppose that might give an hour or two? A rider.... hm... when I created Kuublu, I made him a descendant of some mungodan tribe that would've ridden with the Selentine armies in an earlier age, no horses around these days.... lets see...

Ok. We'll go with whatever plan is decided upon by the time I log back in tonight. ;)

In that case, unless anyone has any objections, Chiemeka will discuss with Kuublu how to make his image the most convincing, and then cast Illusion to create the image of a rider carrying the Knobkerrie emerge from the trees and gallop off down the trail, away from our position and in the 'wrong' direction to where we're heading.

"Suggest, that 'I' be wounded, but no my wound dressed. We will direct them along some lesser paths whilst we go and get Malim. Perhaps we can bribe villagers to take the donkeys away, a 2nd deception."
