Sir Laurence Olivier had uttered "Release the donkey!" in the original film.

Tie some spikey thing to its tail, get it infuriated... and do it from the side and minimize kicking.... maybe the knobkerrie itself will serve the purpose, especially if I dip it in.... any hot spicy irritant? chili sauce, or maybe brush it through some irritating plants...

Well, ok, now we observe. I'm hoping to separate one of Buzwe's followers. Guess if we travel further his group might expand further. Will be inclined to confront him when one of his soldiers is far away. Lets wait it out....

Tempting to Command Buzwe's henchman to drop the machete, or even turn it on Buzwe, if a) we're close enough and b) that's how Command works...

Command
Range: 5m
Durational: Spell Expiry Roll applies
A successful casting of this spell (match caster’s
magical attack vs target’s magical defence)
brings the victim (who must be of 1st–3rd rank)
under the Sorcerer’s control. He will then do whatever
the caster tells him to do. Commanded beings
do not become mindless slaves; they retain their
normal intelligence and ability to reason, and are
thus capable of following quite complex orders.
Language barriers may be a problem—if the victim
cannot understand what his ‘master’ is saying to him
then he will simply act in what he believes to be his
master’s best interests.

If only I were level 6. I would have annihiliated him and save our trouble.

Sorry all - been on holiday this week. Chiemeka is very short of MP so will hold back unless the fight is going badly.

Kuublu and Buzwe traded blows, but neither man was able to land a blow even when Buzwe stumbled slightly as if from some momentary weakness.

"Momentary weakness" suggests either that the spell worked but then expired very quickly, or didn't work at all..?

Wish we'd waited until midnight to start this!

Well it looked momentary to outside observers who don't know he was just hit with a curse, its still there he is just really commited to not showing weakness.

That's all right then! I don't have the MP to make much more of a difference in this fight, and wading in with dagger and shield will probably just get me killed :(
