One way to avoid facing Malim's overwhelming numbers is to find a suitable time and place to confront him in public before all the villagers. Maybe some festival or special occasion. Either Kgosi or his champion Kubluu can challenge Malim to a fair duel, for which the prize is chieftainship of the village.

Whatever the method, Kgosi must win both the physical battle as well as the moral battle, ie: be on the side of righteousness. If Malim has been ill-treating the villagers, which I think he hasn't, then their support should be easy to procure.

I think between the Assassin, Sorcerer, and 2 Mystics, we can scare the hell out of Malim's men.

Not Kuublu. He doesn't want to be tied down to this place. If we could find his gold stash, we could own the mercenaries.

Erm no no...Kubluu is just Kgosi's champion. Fight for Kgosi. Kubluu doesn't need to take over chieftainship of the village if he wins.

Hah...yeah sorry. Guess we should sneak up on Malim and take him together.

I keep forgetting about this OOC thread....

I think we need more intelligence, perhaps observe the village for a day or two, look out for patterns, guard patrols that kind of thing. Maybe we could find an opportunity there, and this would give time for Ak'kulula to rejoin us.

If nothing comes of that we could set a trap for them. Maybe Mthunzi could sneak into the village and speak to Kgosigadi Ngela (with news of her husbands wellbeing); she could arrange for a villager to run around claiming there is some threat, or that Kgosi Olmar is arriving with a great army - something to draw them out or split them up.

Sounds like a good idea. And while observing secretly, perhaps we can get in contact with some of the old trusted lieutenants of Kgosi Olmar to prepare the people for an uprising.

Perhaps I should've asked for an army when I sent my ceremonial dagger away. But I didn't want to abuse the prince's privileges. However I think we can use that, to suggest to Malim that an army approaches so that he can send off some of his troops. At the least he'll send off scouts. Should weaken his bodyguard.

Kuublu wants to minimize bloodshed. If theres fighting going on it would weaken all parties. Mercenaries can serve their purpose. We only need to take out Malim and tell the mercenaries where the next war is.

On that basis, how about this for a plan... We ask Kgosigadi Ngela to request a private audience with Malim Oche, maybe on the pretext that she is willing to marry him or something like that. The meeting will need to be somewhere quiet and out of the way, away from his guards. When he gets there Kgosigadi Ngela is waiting for him along with a surprise...
