"Perhaps Aunt Nansi has food that she can spare. These men are weak and I doubt they can travel far without sustenance."

Shaking his head, Ak'kulula quickly replies to Kubluu. "No my lord. Aunt Nansi does not appreciate unexpected visitors. Yourself and these others, you did not drop in by chance but were invited."

Eyes wide with fear, the lad continues. "Her wrath is terrible. Perhaps even more frightening than the Mother of Moons."

Bowing, Ak'kulula, greatly daring, presents his suggestion. "My lord this is an evil place. We should leave quickly with all those who can come with us. Along the way, perhaps fruits and game may be had. But for now, let's leave quickly."

"Then let us go."

Looking at Chiemeka meaningfully, Ak'kulula frowns, then turns to the Prince and addresses him respectfully. "My lord. It seems we can neither destroy it easily, nor have a suitable place to bury it such that it may not ensnare another to do its evil bidding."

"Aunt Nansi will know what to do."

"Mayhap the Honored Sirs Chiemeka and Ammu would accompany me to consult with Aunt Nansi. While my lord, with Mthunzi and Pugil escort Kgosi Olmar back to the village and deal with the upstart...

Mthunzi appreciates the boys confidence in his and Pulgil's abilities, but thinks back to how many men Malim Oche had at his disposal. "I believe we would see a better outcome to Kgosi Olmar's problem if we tackled Malim Oche together. Although neither Pulgil and I lack courage, he had many men at his disposal, perhaps too many for us to deal with"

Kgosi Olmar nodded at Mthunzi's words, " I am not yet well, and I believe we will need as many strong arms as possible. Malim is a greedy man, I did not realise how greedy, but he is stubborn. If he believes he has superior numbers he will not relinquish his hold. And I fear what may befall my people."

The three other men began to shift uncomfortably and stood with their backs against the wall of the cavern, öne of them stepped forward a little to glares from the other two, " It is true. Malim wants the village, and he has said he will not give it back. The men with him are not from here and fight only for the gold they are promised."

"Men love gold. But that is a basic need. Perhaps they have families to take care of. Perhaps we cannot take them in a direct confrontation, but how long can Malim hold power? If he bleeds the villagers to pay for power he has a weak base. The villagers will be our eyes and ears."

Ak'kulula nods in understanding. He addresses the Prince.

"My lord. I came with you in order to help defeat evil, rescue the soul of a newborn, and save the life of the chieftain of your village. By the grace of the Great Spirit we have accomplished more than that. We have also freed these men who were under the thrall of the Mother of Moons."

"It's time now for me to return to my people."

Ak'kulula bows low in respect to Kubluu. He turns and nods at all the other Companions. "It's been a journey I'll not forget. Striving alongside heroes like yourselves. I shall bring word to Aunt Nansi of the defeat of the altar's power. She will know what to do."

OOC -Ak'kulula will return to his tribe of Great Apes, as was his original plan. The ways of men and power and authority are beyond his concern. He will drop by Aunt Nansi's with the news. And perhaps Aunt Nansi will give this budding Mystic some words of wisdom and guide him to rejoin the Party and help in the fight with Malim?! :D

"Your coming is as welcome as summer rain! Come and go as you please and always feel welcome!"

"Thank you my lord." Ak'kulula bows low once more to the Prince.

The lad will travel together with the Party a short way before pronouncing his farewells and departing for Aunt Nansi's valley dwelling.

Ammu confides in Ak'kulula as the party walks.

"I sense we are alike you and me, son. But just between us, I have many fears. This experience has shaken me and I am not calm and at peace like I should be, but you seem unperturbed. My teacher told me I was on a path that leads to serenity, but how long is the path? What do you know that I don't?"
