Ok, everyone get across first. Kuublu will try a running jump/javelin push... How wide is this?

The boy Mystic takes another glance at the Prince, then Pulgil and Chiemeka, before turning around and making his way carefully across the bridge.

On reaching the other end, he looks around the place, looking for exits. He scans the walls for anything that might suggest the presence of a hidden catch...or something...

To back up for a moment...

The young wild man crosses the bridge and walks up a short stairway like the one on the south bank of the river. He stands now in front of a small black wood door. There is a strong feeling of peace and serenity here.

Chiemeka follows Ak across the bridge, but will stay close to the bank until everyone is across.

Kuublu will try the bridge to see how it holds up. He looks anxiously at the fast moving current. If there is a visible weak spot he'll place his javelin down and walk on that, hopefully it'll spread his weight along its entire length. He clutches his second javelin and tries to spread his weight on a 'third limb'....

Is it possible that the chunks of the statue can be placed in the water? Kuublu might consider tossing in parts of the statue in the water. At least, he will consider it.

Ak'kulula looks at Chiemeka for a moment, then bowing to the Sage's wisdom, accepts back the staff. The two ends of the artifact, radiating cold and heat, presents a problem of safe storage however. After a moment's thought, the lad retrieves his sling and from its leather fashions a makeshift carrier strap for the staff, allowing it to be securely worn diagonally across his back, while leaving its two ends pointing up and down respectively. Tying up the staff and strapping it to his back, Ak'kulula tests that it is secure and does not swing loosely from his bodily movements. He looks left and right at the two ends of the secured artifact, smiling in satisfaction that it is now no more dangerous to himself and his companions than a sharp two-ended spear.

Noting the Prince's discomfort with the plank bridge, Ak'kulula respectfully assures Kubluu as to the safety of the bridge. He points out to his Highness various signs that affirm his conclusion.

Kuublu places one foot experimentally on the fragile wood and there is a sudden crunch as his stony foot punches straight through it....he's not sure his javelins are going to cut it....

OOC: The river appears deep...though it is hard to judge from here...

When Kuublus foot goes through the wood, Ak'kulula is suprised but realises that the effect on Kuublus of the stone form must be more than skin-deep.

No other thoughts brush against his own....
