Marveling at how the winds were captured and stored in the seemingly nondescript bag, Ak'kulula looks down the horizontal tunnel eastward, then westward. He steps carefully into the room at the east side... |

Pulgil picks up the silver bowl as she and Etwa passed Owas statue with a mumbled apology to the goddess, " We might need this." Kuublu and Ak'kulula turned east as they exited the hall and entered the room there. They see that a bronze circlet with egret feathers lies on a wooden table against the far wall of the room. As the two men step through the archway into the room, their ankles become entangled in a web of fine strong strands. A sudden sound from above startled the two men even as they realized their feet were trapped by the previously invisible strands. Descending on them was a strange-seeming spider with an almost human like head.....it was roughly the size of a zebra and if they were not mistaken it appeared to be composed of polished black wood. |

Kuublu frowns when Pulgil takes the silver bowl. He then thinks it better to keep his silence. When they get trapped, Kuublu glares at the Spider creature. "Ak'! Quick! Get be... Actually forget it!" Kuublu gives a loud war cry and shakes his javelin and shield, trying to get its attention and make it attack him. If its far, more than 20m he'll throw his javelin, otherwise he'll just stand ready to jab it. |

Ak'kulula draws his machete, drops to a squat, and calmly begins cutting away at the web entangling the Prince's feet... |

Kuublu struck out with his spear as the youngster hacked at the webbing about his feet, he was about to land a blow when a jet of flame raced from behind him just under the top of the archway and into the spider.....also singeing the top of his head rather painfully. The spider-thing clattered down and struck out at Kuublu with a hooked leg covered in bronze spines, but Kuublus duck away from the fire saved him from being struck. The flames washed over the creature and left smoky residue on it but it seemed little damaged.....though many of the webs caught fire and began to burn. |

Kuublu, if he can move will shuffle to the side whilst striking at it. He wants it to turn away from the others. |

Kuublu succeeds in his aims though he does have a little trouble moving and almost loses a toe to Ak's rather vigorous machete use on the webs. The creature chuckled as it clawed at Kuublu again, leaving a deep cut in his chest ( -4 hp), but Kuublu responded well plunging his spear into a join in the wooden body and causing a thick brown sap to ooze out. Suddenly the creature rattled alarmingly and the face became animated, a strangely jocular voice spilled out, " Come to steal my wisdom! COme to steal from Kwaku Ananse. Not smart, not smart......but maybe wise?". |
