If the figure sees or hears the knife it shows no sign and Ak'kulula detects no change in the 'thoughts' he can read.

OOC: How far away will I be if I just spring out and announce myself? Think I'll do that unless I'm in her face. You guys can gather around me and hope she doesn't have FIRESTORM or the sapper equivalent...

Hugging the wall to the right, Ak'kulula follows beside and only slightly behind Kubluu if he pops round the corner.

You estimate the figure must be at least 2m back from the corner judging from the shadow.

A bit close. Kuublu innocently laughs to himself before walking around the corner. With a smile of joy he greets the lady and… (what is her looks score?) introduces himself and (may compliment her, or if looks below 13 will talk about the fine day, weather, rich harvest...) ask her where she comes from. (Note looks score since if she is horribly repulsive he may try to retch...)

Chiemeka is impressed with Kuublu's optimism and faith in human (and non-human) nature, but clutches his staff tightly and runs through the prayers necessary to cast his most potent spells...

As Kuublu turns the corner he is momentarily pleasantly suprised.

Then the woman suddenly seems to notice him and her form dissolves into a roiling mist of blue and white energies which reach out toward him....

Kuublu smiles broadly, initially before his eyes widen and he tries to physically avoid this mist. Is there room to avoid or do I have to go back to where I came / back to the party?

Momentarily stunned by the sudden collapse of the female form into grasping tendrils of energy, Ak'kulula regains his senses and scrambles backwards quickly. He stumbles back around the corner, regains his footing, and yells a warning to his companions hiding behind the double doors.

The others come running from behind the doors towards the corner....Etwa dawdles behind a little.

The mist unfolds towards Kuublu who ducks aside at the last moment, it collapses back into the form of the woman but now her eyes are mist blue and her skin gives off a slight mist...Kuublu notes the air where the mist passed close to him is chilled and cold as the grave.
