Roasting a small portion of the meat on the fire he finds that his fathers adage about not eating the flesh of furred flesh-eaters is proved correct once again. The meat is strongly flavoured, tough as leather and almost acidic in nature, he barely gets more than a couple of chews into it..

Kuublu spews and spits repeatedly.. Maybe he should've finished the job... He spends a good part of the night spitting and trying to get the taste out of his mouth. Perhaps there are other body parts that might taste good, but for now, some improvements to his armour would be nice.

Skull, shoulder plates. Wonder what else might be worth carrying. Furry dice. And Jaafan gets its skin....

Jaafan readied his spear at the sight of movement, while he doubted it was anything too dangerous considering the beasts had already left, it never hurt to be wary.

He moved forward, peering in to the darkness to try and make out what was inside with him.

Chiemeka shakes his head at the folly of his companions trying to eat carnivore meat, and thanks Aset that she has given him the ability to cure poisoning...

I still have enough MP to do 3 x 2HP healing or 1 x 7HP healing, if anyone needs it?

Jaafan made out a small striped form about the size of a toddler, it had a visible wound on one of its forelegs and growled at him as he approached...perhaps the runt of the litter, either way though the wound did not seem too serious it was unlikely it could walk well at the moment...

Jaafan smiled at the sight of the cub, it would take work, but perhaps he could nurture the pup back to health and domesticate it. Certainly the creature would grow to be more dangerous over time, and having one of the beasts they’d just encountered at his back would go a long way in proving his strength to his tribe.

He looked around for a chunk of meat that looked fresh enough to be enticing to the runt, stowing his spear to try and calm it. If he could get it to eat then he might be able to sooth it enough to pick it up and examine its wound.

He scraped a scrap of flesh off a nearby sundered femur, trying not to think too hard about where the bone may have come from, and held it out to the cub.

But the cub was having none of it and simply glowered at him from up against the back wall.

Huffing at the pup’s reaction, Jaafan looked around among the bodies for any sort of cloth or hide that might make be fashioned in to a pouch for the animal, or perhaps wrapped around his arm to protect him from the babe’s maw.

Jaafan takes the woven reed satchel that the pups didn’t seem to enjoy, and then steps out of the den to find the others.

”There is a cub in the den. It is wounded, and likely the runt of the litter, but perhaps we might raise it and train it to crush the skulls of our enemies” he suggests.

"Ah! If only we had an Animal handler!"

Kuublu walks in. Grabbing some meat from his packs, he walks in and he sits down to eat. After a while he'll toss some over to the cub to see whether it goes for it....
