The cub growls at Kuublu as well but after a few minutes comes forward and grabs some of the dried eland jerky.

Kuublu continues to eat and pass a few pieces to the cub. He'll then go out to fetch Chiemeka. Can Chiemeka manage 2 more lesser healings? Assuming that it won't come out, maybe Kuublu will demonstrate what Chiemeka can do, cut himself, heal, then push Chiemeka forward to heal the cub....

Chiemeka looks at Kuublu for a moment, then nods slowly...

I can do two Lesser Healings, but that leaves me on 1 MP and it's only mid-afternoon - let's hope the rest of the day is uneventful!

We can take our time. Maybe Chiemeka can befriend it too. We just all sit down and eat and throw some at the cub. I don't mind carrying it, but we need to befriend it. Jaafan too. In fact, maybe this smelly hole might be a good place to stay until the morning. Lets see how mobile this cub is....

Uruka steps behind the prince and informs him that he can heal him if he wishes to experiment

Kuublu wants to build trust and to be able to move again. He suggests he crawls around with a limp left arm, Chiemeka makes a show of touching his left arm and Kuublu crawls around. Thats after we spend maybe 1 hour eating and ensuring the cub is not hungry. Jaafan can join in the festivities, but eating in a hole smelling of hyena dung isn't the most pleasant, neither is crawling around in it.

If it can move by itself I think thats good enough, saves us trying to carry it.

Jaafan takes part in the operation, but he keeps furthest back, not wanting to remind the pup of his earlier failed attempts too befriend it.

Kuublu’s plan seems sound.

Uruka follows closely ready for anything

After an hour or so the cub seems comfortable enough with them that it is contentedly eating the dried eland only a foot or so from them. It would possibly be feasible to scoop the cub up in the salvaged bag without being too badly scratched or bitten.

Uruka has little experience handling animals so he leaves the task to his friends. He will stay vigilant ready for any trouble.
