Jaafan struck out at his enemy but she ducked under his blow sinking bone crushing jaws into his thigh and grinding down with her powerful maw. ( -7 hp Jaafan) She was about to throw him again when Chiemekas chanting rose in pitch again and she stymied suddenly releasing him with a whine.

Kuublu and Uruka drove forward at the male, only Urukas weapon penetrated but the creature stumbled back roaring its annoyance at them.

Uruka cast enhancement and attacks

Kuublu rages. He starts suddenly sharp repetitive cries as he tries to strike home. Perhaps their young are nearby, if so this fight will be long....

Seeing that Jaafan is in danger, Chiemeka call on the jungle to envelop the female beast.

Tangleroots - Nandi F: 2d10 10

Jaafan laughed as blood ran down his shredded thigh. This would not be the battle that ended his journey to prove his worth as a warrior. HE would not back down in the face of near death. He charged art the beast, certain he would either be victorious or die.

Uruka struck again. as Kuublu rages and strikes in concert, the fury of their attacks driving the creature a few steps back. It was heavily wounded now, but it would not run....it let out a small mewling cry which was echoed by the female.

Chiemekas chant brought forth vines and liana from the earth reaching for the female creature. Jaafan charged art the beast, with his spear raised, but his charge was stymied by the eruption of plants from the earth, luckily for him so was the creatures retort as it slipped from the entangling foliage.

For a moment Jaafan was stunned by the sudden growth of plants, and then he remembered the healing magics and illusions of his new found traveling companions and credited the surprise plant life with some other supernatural abilities the group possessed. He looked up at the female, still smiling, as it deftly slipped out of the entangling fauna. A worthy foe indeed.

He shifted back on to the defensive, bracing his spear for a possible attack, though he wondered if perhaps it would turn from him to aid its mate giving Jaafan a brief reprieve, something the rational part of his brain knew he needed as blood gushed from his thigh and shoulder, spilling on to the ground.

Anticipating victory, Kuublu gives a triumphant roar as he advances, he takes on an even bigger stance with his assegai and shield raised, in anticipation for the kill....
