OOC: There is room for it to depart, also for yourselves to easily leave....but it seems reluctant to leave the den area. Though it is not approaching any of you.

Kuublu explains in single word statements and simple pointing gestures....

"You. Kill. Humans..."

*Points at the fallen Uruka*

"We. Kill. You."

Now that its den has been discovered Kuublu doubts it will stay. Now about that business, we need to skin this adult, chop its 'souvenirs' off, and Kuubl wants to grab its skull and shoulder plates for making into a helmet and breast plate. It'll take a while but maybe he can find a craftsman in the capital who could manage.

"Come, Uruka and Chiemeka, drag the male's corpse clear of here as Kubblu and I protect our withdrawl. If there is a cub in the den then it must feel as if we are far enough away to not hurt the pup before it will depart." Jaafan suggested as he kept his spear leveled at the female. He wondered if it might be possible to train the pup, domesticate it to serve his will, but he shook the thought from his mind. The spirits of the wilds were not toys to be controlled, but equals to be treated as one might treat family.

If the others agreed to his suggestion then he would bow his head to the female, a worthy opponent she had been indeed, and he would wear her mate's hide with pride and honor.

Uruaka badly hurt, withdraws with the Mage, pulling the Mage behind him to protect him. He will focus on saving his friend and himself.

"Forget about the dead.'worry about the living," he grunts.

Chiemeka is already well back from the fray, as Uruka retreats.

Kuublu keeps his eye on the female as the others retreat and begins straining to drag the carcass of the male Nandi clear of the area, he makes little gain but apparently it is enough that the female heads into the den and drags three small forms out by the scruff of their neck. She goes back in again but then emerges after a few minutes alone. She nudges the three small striped shapes up the side of the scree slope on wobbly legs, when they finally reach the top she turns back and surveys the four men, then the four of them disappear from sight.

Time to feast! The smell of burning predator will waft through the night. Kuublu really hopes that this thing tastes good... if so, future generations will benefit from his merciful act today.....

Might be a lot to carry, but he's seriously thinking of a 'supplemental' bone armour based on this things shoulder plates, skull, rib cage and whatever... Might take a while to craft but he's been at AF 2 for most of the past months.... scavenger jaw bones must be solid...

And he's got some new 'trophy' to swing around too!.... Those 'furry dice' you have hanging off racing cars..... Here's a hairy pair of 'dice' to swing around....

After the female disappeared over the rise, Jaafan jogged over to the den and peered inside. He felt as if the creature had gone back inside after something but had come out with nothing. Perhaps whatever she had been looking for might still be around, and it wouldn't hurt to see if there were any bodies of their prey that might still carry their valuables.

Despite being a little out of practice Kuublu does a good job of skinning the Nandi and portioning out its flesh and paring out those bones he thinks will be of use.

Chiemeka builds a small fire where a sampling of the flesh can be cooked as Kuublu works.

OOC: 20:54, Today: Damian May, for the NPC Kuublu, rolled 3 using 1d20. Intelligence.

Jaafan held his nose as he entered, the den was heavy with musk and the scent of spoiled meat. Crouching within he found it very dark, though he noted piles of bones; many of them cracked open by powerful jaws. He could see little sign of metal or handiwork within and was about to withdraw when he saw movement at the rear of the den...

I think Jaafan wanted its skin. Should make a good fur pelt I should think.

So how does it taste!?!?!
