It is Thursday afternoon, my time. I am planning on posting background material so we can be close to getting started (how close depends on if there are any questions I need to clarify) on Saturday or Sunday. Just so people know I am still working on it :)

Are you in Australia?

Yes, I am - south eastern Melbourne.

Due to the computer on which I have done all the work deciding it needs to update itself, posting of startup material may be delayed until tomorrow. Depends on how long it takes to give me access to it.

Windows 10? One day I went to work and couldn't do anything for 90 minutes because it decided to update then. Should've been optional, could do it during lunch or whenever.

A housekeeping issue. I prefer to run games where PLAYERS don't have secrets from each other, although their CHARACTERS might. I think it's more fun if everybody knows what is going on, even if their characters don't.

Does anybody have a problem with that? Or would people prefer private messages were used to exchange private information?

Not at all. It seems to be that we're already each contributing something to each others' character's stories (in how we all know each other - writing ourselves into the other characters' back-stories). If we, as players, know all of the characters as well as their player does, so long as agency for the character's present remains with that player, I think everything else should be open - in this way, we won't accidentally write something that conflicts with a character's hidden information.

I've not played a PbF before, so players with more experience may wish to express a stronger opinion.

I'm fine with it, but ditto Cobwebbed Dragon - I've never played a pbf before, so...

I'll sometimes use PMs in PbPs I run but theres no real need 99% of the time, unless someone has some massively dark secret thats integral to the game.
