Failed, I think. Rolled 10 which would equal PER+5 but then that drafted -3 kicked in for 7 but maybe it should have been a +3 making it 13? I’m confusticated but it’s late here and we’re all upside down...

OOC GM

It's mid afternoon here and my maths has gone all wonky. You're not getting entirely accurate info, but hey, it's nearly Christmas..

Out of Character

Well, Master Corvin. Apart from Serpent-Tongue and his friends, there are at least a further three people waiting to come to the party.

They're making a decided effort to stay hushed, yet not entirely successful..

I remember that someone once said 'strangers are just friends that you haven't met yet' – could this be the case?

Laila grinned, " You should get that looked at.", though she was unnerved by such an obvious sign of corruption.

" Your friend in the bushes there? They'd best come out."

" Anyway, enough talk....can we just get to the pissing on your corpses stage of negotiations?"

She drew her seax and moved towards the hidden figure.

Corvin’s eyebrows raised in amazement at Laila’s nonchalant challenge. He quietly drew his sword and prepared for the mayhem to ensue.

Lucky prepares to stab whichever enemy reaches for his weapon first (if he can react fast enough, of course).

Corvin loosened his grandfather’s shortsword in its scabbard, and peered across to try to get a better look at the other hidden observer. There were at least three hidden there.

"I grow tired of word games, little lizard. State clearly what your intentions are."
As Sten spoke this, he calmly walked towards Serpent-Tongue.

Laila grinned, " You should get that looked at.", though she was surely unnerved by such an obvious sign of corruption.

Corvin’s eyebrows raised in amazement at Laila’s nonchalant challenge. He quietly drew his sword and prepared for the mayhem to ensue, as Laila walked towards the bushes.

Lucky prepared to stab whichever enemy reached for their weapon first. Surely this would stand him in good stead when tempers frayed and weapons were drawn.

Sten saw that his brave challenge had put the frighteners to at least two of Serpent-Tongue’s men.

“It’s all right, lads.” hissed Serpent-Tongue. “Let him pass. I want to see this one up close.” The muddy, dark cloaked men parted to allow Sten through, their hands at the hilts of their weapons though.

Godric held back, unsure of what action to take.

Jharak moved his hands, the left making intricate movements.

Calder readied his weapon. He felt that action was coming.

Bretwald crossed himself at the sight of Serpent-Tongue’s grossly overlarge appendage. One that size was surely unholy.

Sten reached Serpent-Tongue and stood by his horse. Serpent-Tongue looked down at him, a smile playing across his lips. Lips that Sten saw were stained green.

Corvin quietly mutters some arcane words and gestures casting Weaken at Serpent Tongue.

Sten looks at Serpent-Tongue. Using the rim of his shield, he lifts up under Serpent-Tongue's foot, attempting to unhorse him.

Laila just stared the folks blocking the road in disgust, " Well, is one of you cowards going to come at me or nej?"

She bit the inside of her cheek and spat blood onto the ground in challenge.

Seeing his friends drawing weapons and attacking, Calder does not hesitate to unsheathe his truty sword. He advances towards the nearest foe engaged by his companions and strikes with his blade. At the same time, he mutters,"Hop my daddy armour and shield guards me!"
