Corvin splutters and snorts ale in surprise and mirth at Laila’s matter of fact treatment proposal. When he regains his composure he simply observes “Hmmm. Unconventional but that could work...”

Mugger seems to come to, some life in his eyes, he rises, and hawks a great glob of green spittle on the floor. Pushing up his belly, he makes a lurch for the tavern door.

"See" says the innkeep, "He's had enough and he's done. No doubt that he'll head home now."

Corvin looks disgustedly at the floor before turning to Father Bretwald and Sten.

“It seems there’s foulness afoot in Saxton. But perhaps it’s a matter for others to deal with? I suppose we could follow him and see where he goes but if we must leave early on the morrow to range deep into Fenring Forest then this mystery may be best investigated another day?

Sten grunts "He's just a sick man with a broken heart. We can check in on him when we get back."

Sten orders a round of drinks and introduces Jacob to everyone.
