Corvin will hopefully go with Sten’s father and raid the village armoury to outfit himself with borrowed and hopefully clean and not too smelly padded armour and a sturdy shield. That done he will see if he can scrounge some salted pork and hard tack to sustain himself should their sojourn to Fenring Forest be prolonged. Shopping done he rejoins Father Bretwald and waits to set out. |

"Ye'll find it usable, but not too pretty." says Jacob, as he opens the armoury to let Corvin in. Corvin finds that Jacob doesn't lie, as he selects the best of the well used equipment. Ma Sten outfits the party with the best hard rations that she can prepare, ready for their adventure ahead. As Drystan has everything he needs except a decent waterskin and a cozy bedroll he spends his last florins on those before teaming up with the others. |

Sten spends some time with his little brother and sisters getting them to help clean and maintain his armour and weapons making idle chit chat and catching up on the going ons of Saxton |

Lucky thanks Sten's family for their hospitality. He feels better than he has in a long time. Refreshed, too. It's sure to be good luck from here on out, he thinks. |

Swayed by Drystan and Bedwere’s rhetoric, Father Bretwald allows them to join the companions in the quest for Vallandr’s Tomb. Sten says his goodbyes to his family at the gate to the village – perhaps it won’t be so long before he returns this time. The villagers and Godric see the companions on their way, as they depart into the cold autumn morn. |
