Max looks on impassively at the scene unfolding before him. Luck had presented him with an opportunity to slake the thirst of his wanderlust. That the chest failed to be filled with coin perturbed him little. Glancing around at his companions he’ll offer a nod of acknowledgment to any who happen to meet his gaze. |

Corvin begins to laugh uncontrollably. “Vallandr and Mathor played us all for fools! Hahahahaha haha hahaha!” After a minute or two he composes himself and says “Well we could well melt down the crown but perhaps the Baron would welcome the mythic significance of holding Vallandr’s crown or even gain favour at Court by presenting it to the King as a gift?” |

In truth though, man of magic had raised an interesting point. What to do with what they had discovered. |

‘Strange things, I’ll give you that much’. Walking back to where he’d taken his own blade from from, Max adds, ‘I figure it’s only right to return them now that we’ve seen Morgrin on his way’. So saying he’ll try to restore the blade to the balance it had possessed prior to their battle with the otherworldly apparition. |

As Max takes the blade back to whence it came, he readily places it upon its point. As the blade balances itself once more, the slip of shadow that Max left behind him tears away and rejoins Max's own shadow. |
