"Wha' whu" mumbles Odo, as he sees the lad at the door. "Eadsel, boy. What is it?"

Sir Alfred, Wilfred, and Matthias join Odo as he meets the boy by the door.

The boy stumbles over his words. getting them out rapidly between deep breaths and snot filled snorts.

"Eadric said him and me Pa were fishin’ for eels up the Bogwater like they do. Eadric said he was checking our traps an’ they had lines baited with grubs, cos they like ‘em, the eels I mean, an’ Pa gives this almighty shout. Pa was in his coracle and Eadric was in his. Eadric said Pa had hauled in a fish, from his hand line. He was holding the fish up like to show Eadric, it were as long as Eadric’s arm he said, when this giant black monster came a burstin’ up outta the water and grabbed the fish with me Pa still a holdin’ it and swam off down the river draggin’ Pa with it, fish, coracle an’ all!"

Breathe.

"Eadric said he was a callin’ out and tried to paddle after it as it swum up river towin’ Pa and his coracle but it knocked him out of his coracle with its tail as it went past. He said he looked and looked for Pa and hollered till he was hoarse but the beast swum into the reeds and then he got awful scared and he righted his coracle and paddled back home as fast as he could. The menfolk have all gone out a lookin’ but Ma said I should come here quick smart to tell you and the Bailiff there be a dragon or some kinda monster in the Bogwater. And it’s got me Pa!"

Sir Alfred snatched up his weapons and shield, " Lead on lad! Lead on! To Arms!"

He ran out the door....

Eadsel looks alarmed at how fast Sir Alfred reacts. (Has Sir Alfred dressed) - and the rest of his tale comes blurting out.

Sir Alfred is currently dressed in braise and little else. He does have his weapon and shield however.....he is very sexy man.*
