Hey.

I've been lurking awhile (mid-2016 or so), finally got round to creating an account. I haven't played DW in a while, but currently trying to set up a game with friends.

Welcome!

Welcome, Acoma! Always great when a lurker decides to become a contributor - feel free to join in with any conversations that pique your interest, even old ones can benefit from a fresh perspective.

Best of luck with finding a group to play DW - when you do, I'm eager for guinea pigs to let me know how useful they find the tutorials on http://www.dragonwarriors.uk, so feel free to point your new players in that direction!

Looking forward to hearing how your gaming goes :)

Hello all.

I've been reading threads on this forum for a while now (there's some good stuff on here), so I thought I'd sign up. :D I've been running and playing in DW games since the 1980s... and am still running a campaign (when my players and myself can meet up).

Currently residing in central Albion.

Welcome, Starkad, and good to hear about the game being played.

Central Albion, eh? Possibly close to me (I'm in Birmingham)... Whereabouts? And feel free to PM if you don't want to broadcast here!

Being played... When we can meet up. That's not that often - but the campaign is ongoing. ;)

The burgh of Snotingaham... Separated from Birmingham by the dreaded A42...

Hello, Royston here. Nice to met you all.

I've been a DW player/GM since the original release of the books in the 80s, and still play it these days, albeit less frequently (but only because it is hard to find other DW players).

I'm keen to play some more DW if I get the chance, especially face to face games (but online is ok too). I live in the UK, in Plymouth.

As an aside, I am currently producing my own RPG based on a long-running (11 years) campaign set in a homebrew world. The art is being done by Leo Hartas, the illustrator of the original rule-books :)

Hello,
I'm Jay, male, 49, from New Orleans in the US. I got to read a friend's Blood Sword books years ago, and got to look at copies of the ordinal DW books a few years back that a friend found at a used book store and I got the Serpemt King Core Dragon Warriors book a few months back and waited for the Christmas in July sale at RPGNow this year to get the rest of the books. I paid an arm an a leg to get a print copy of in From the Cold and spent the last two weeks looking for racecourses for the game online.

I got into RPGs back in 1977 and played mostly D&D & AD&D at first then switched to modern & Sci Fi setting games. I lost my entire gaming collection, books, etc., except for my Feng Sui RPG stuff that was in my car, a few years back due to a hurricane and got out of gaming for several years. When i did getback in to gaming I looked at other systems and did not want to touch nor attempt to re-buy the stuff that had taken years to get.

When I run any games now it is online using Fantasy Grounds.

My training is as a paralegal and I have a degree in Political Science as well.

I got into doing CGI art, making maps witch CC3 and other map making programs a few years back. (I'm more than happy to do art for people if I have the time and ability using the stuff I have.)

I'm also done a lot of research into Japanese & Chinese culture and mythology.

I like simple quick game system and was very impressed with the way Dragon warriors handled faerie and magick as that was closer to the various books I have on faerie.

Recently, I've been having a lot of health issues and that has caused me to be limited in my activities and discontinue several hobbies and online activity. (I'm reading the Dragon warriors PDFs I purchased right now while recovering from some surgery and a friend is typing up my post for me while I dictate as I have limited hand use at the moment whit my main hand.)

Anyway, looking forward to posting in the future.

Welcome, Jay! That's a very comprehensive introduction and I know you'll spark some interest by dropping Fantasy Grounds, CC3, and Japanese/Chinese culture and mythology into your introduction :).

Great to have you as part of our community - take a look at some of the threads and feel free to resurrect any you'd like to discuss.
