Hi
I did not want to spoil the main topic of the project of Thuland with not cleared suggestions ( as did Damian and Shaune), (maybe because a clear topic gives motivation for finishing the project, and I Really would like it works :) )

I m a bit embarrased ad would like your opinion. I found a local map which locates some frost hills and some mountains (for the author the background is on Thuland). It s in my language. ;)

i think the Gm took inspiration from here and did a mix between thuland and dnd (not difficult, the map of thuland is so unknown...)

I don t know the dnd world, plus it is a fan fiction (maybe some here know it) You think we can use the names of it? The background of Cador is describded

I guess it s not difficult to find an other nice map leading to some frost hills, and Snowy mountains (suggestions?), but this one was nice an there was a background for the city : Cador.

I wouldn't worry about cluttering the main thread - that thread is for everyone to contribute ideas for Thuland and no one's ideas are any more or less valid than anyone else's :).

As for Cador, you have to be careful when using other people's intellectual property to draw inspiration, but so long as you avoid reusing names and text verbatim, there's no harm in taking the essence of an idea and sculpting it using your own words. And the island on which Katorheim is located, with its northern range of mountains, is a ripe location for Cador (or something called something similar to that ;)).

Thuland always had a 'Scottish' feel to it for me (just as Albion has a more English bent), and there's plenty of uniquely Scottish folklore on which to draw for inspiration.

Yup. Please just post stuff to the main thread....then I won't feel quite so bad about posting so much. :)
