Needs a lot of polishing and quite a few maps and some input on things I'm missing/forgetting.

If anyone has any old ( or new) material they think would be a good fit for this city-book feel free to add.

Or make comments on whats already there.

Very evocative material from you again, Damian. Keep it up!

Looking good Damian. I think that a population of 22,000 is quite large for a medieval city, depending on your time analog, and if it has grown rapidly with the coming of True Faith pilgrims in large waves then there are some considerations you might want to take on board for your design. Old areas created by the Ta'ashim are likely to be well planned and maintained. Areas of new and rapid growth are probably going to be more haphazard. There might be an 'old wall' within the 'new walls' of the city. The Capellars are likely to be jealous of the trade wealth of Chapelstone, but so to might a Ta'ashim prince? Either might try to operate clandestinely to unbalance and displace a centre of economic competition, but sometimes it does come to war - consider Valdemar IV's attack of the Hanseatic city of Visby in 1361, for example. Looking forward to the maps.

For northern and western Coradia I'd agree but looking around at the RL equivalents at the time ( 900-1100) it was not unusual for large cities in the eastern Mediterranean and Middle East to have populations in the hundreds of thousands. And, yes, as the description states the city has grown well beyond her old walls. :)

Right. I missed that part of the description. I take your point. Antioch had about 120,000 when it fell to Baybars in 1268.

Anyone willing to do an initial editing pass on this one? I know it needs more work but it'll help me organise my thoughts.

I'm up for both maps and editing - after today. Still doing Nano for one more day (even though I have already won).
