I'm flying my own kite here, but the one that survived longest attained 12th Rank (Twice technically, but casting Hecatomb is a real XP eater...) then retired to eat a black pearl in privacy. Death or Dragon NPC was a pretty good retirement deal in the character's opinion.
However, there is nothing quite like seeing the expression on an enemy commander's face when the youthful 'Black Knight' wreaking hit and run havoc across their troops in the forests turns out to be a petite Yamato sorceress with Armour, Destrier and Vorpal Blade...
Dishearten may be my favorite spell, but it's like relying on the various Mind Control type spells, using them too often is just lazy, and it's far too frequently using an arcane sledgehammer to crack a very mundane walnut. It's nice to play with the big magic toys occasionally though.
Low Rank spell efficiency is something that I've learned from sheer necessity. Less spells with broader applications makes for some fun in inventive use in play, so thanks for the link, howareyou!
