The good Father prattles on, caught up in the telling of his tale.

A nudge is enough to break him from the telling, though.

Calder & Corvin – ahead of you, and a good way down the trail, at that, are figures. You can't make them out at this distance. All you can tell, is that there are several, they appear to be clad in black, and one of them sits astride a horse.

“People in front. Be careful,” Calder whispers to his friends.

”Could be troublesome. I’ll shadow us from cover just in case. I’ll be quieter than you armoured folk.

Without waiting for a response Corvin slinks off the trail into cover.

Sten wanders along lost in thought feeling excited, nervous and scared hoping his family are all well.

Sten half hears someone call out but not hearing it clearly he keeps going plodding along in his own little world.

Lucky grips his spear and shield tightly and looks forward, confused, as he has not spotted the figures mentioned by Corvin and Calder.

"Sten!" he says through gritted teeth.

"Continue on and hail them?" Calder grunts.

He adjust his weapon and armour briefly.

Laila looks around at the veteran soldiers she is travelling in and kinda hopes the figures are ne'er-do-wells trying to waylay the group.
