Sorry - I described this badly.

I’ve got Max playing rear guard covering the corridor behind the party (so leading back to the chapel) with his crossbow.

The quick glance was back down the corridor to where Corvin and Co are investigating the lamps.

OOC - no problem.

Max looks down both corridors and sees nothing of interest save his companion peering at a red light.

Laila remains at the corner regarding Calder with bemusement.

Corvin turns to his companions and hisses “Halt! There’s some unnatural enchantment afoot here, I’m sure of it! Look! See how the light grows ever dimmer and takes on more and more of a scarlet hue as one approaches. I fear a trap or magical trick is at work here. We should reconsider our path forward methinks.”

“Walk carefully? Shields and sword ready?” Calder says noting the possible danger.

Lucky pushes past to get a better look and as he edges forward -- the lights go out...

What illumination you have brought with you shows Lucky fall and slip, teetering over the edge of a yawning crevasse.

Yet, he manages to grab hold of the edge, even as he falls. He hangs there...

"Help!"

Having turned his attention back to covering the corridor from the chapel, Max heard the cry for help from Lucky. He turns back to where his companions are investigating the lights only to see that they have gone out.

He divided his attention between covering the party’s back whilst trying to work out what’s happening at the front.

Laila sighed and moved up, " Can't take you boys anywhere...."
