The little Lucky stills and stares Sten straight in the eye, and holds his gaze. On the floor, stone Lucky crumbles away, flaking into dust, whilst the fellow stonee, Bedwere, just stays, as animated as, well, a statue. |

Seeing Sten has no intention of releasing the wee one Laila leaves the big hairy mama-bear to nurse her new cub and wanders over towards the corner and has a look to the north. |

"What? Lucky? Whatever do ye mean, Sten?" blusters the confused priest. Laila's exploration of the the northern branch of the corridor, where Elaine was lying in wait, finds that it extends only a few metres and then ends in stout oak doors bound with iron. The light comes from a glowing crystal globe hanging from the ceiling. Shining lights west west, you discover that the transverse corridor also ends in double doors after another eight or ten metres. |
