OOC:Are we doing my Armour Bypass rolls against the skeletons.

Their description says they’ve got an AF of 2 against stabbing but 0 against other attacks. Max is swinging his sword so not technically stabbing*. Will obviously go with the GM’s decision but I wanted to double check.

* Sheesh I feel like a pedant!

Laila slashes again at the undead menaces, not sure what impact her seax will have on those that don't bleed.

Feeling the surge of magic Corvin steps boldly forward trying to get through the doorway and then shepherd the vile undead back out the way they came so that he and his companions can pass by them unmolested and perhaps shut the door behind to keep them out.

He figures they can either deal with the creatures on the way out or find another exit.

He keeps his sword handy though.

“Back you vile abominations!” Corvin curses at the undead creatures.

” I may be able to keep them at bay so we can slip through” he shouts whilst trying to herd the skeletons out the door they entered from

Sten and Laila smash thru their opponents who fall to the ground. Yet still the animated skeletons struggle and try to pull themselves up.

Max strikes and his opponent is down. Master Corvin's incantation takes hold and the skeletons back away as he pushes them out of the room.

You all slip through and Drystan and Bretwald slam the door shut, diminutive Lucky slipping just through.

The door holds, but you hear a scratching and clattering from whence you came.


You notice a huge wooden treasure-chest by the south wall. It is sealed with a gilded padlock bigger than a man’s fist. Then you notice something gleaming in the
lantern-light: a key, just there on the floor.

A small passage leads to the north.

Corvin pokes at the key with the tip of his sword.

“Well this does seem a little too obvious!” he muses whilst gesturing at the lock and key.

” What do you say? Shall we take the bait and open the lock with this key?”

Laila shrugs and snatches up the key...if she doesn't immediately die from foul sorceries or the like she sees if it fits in the lock on the chest.

About to comment that it looks to be good to be true, Max raises his eyebrows at Laila’s bold move. Instinctively he raises his crossbow although he suspected that it probably wouldn’t be if much use against whatever abomination might emerge from an ancient chest.
