GM - roughly how many wolves and elves are there? Is there an obvious leader of either pack?

Remembering Bretwalds stories, Sten stands at the front of the group "err um Hi there, we was just passing through no harm intended just ......heading home" he says unsure about the etiquette required for meeting elves.

The forest stands still. The elves hold still. The wolves don't move.

The air still and the rain ceased, the only noise to be heard is an occasional pant from the wolves.

A shape steps forward. For a moment you are unsure whether it is elf or wolf, and then with a shake of your heads, you see a tall elf standing in front of you.

"You offer compensation for your slight? How can you offer me what is already mine? Know, that with your passage through these woods, that your lives are held most precariously."

He nods at Bretwald. "Most especially you, little priest of men. You have left these woods once with a gift from my brother, and now you are here again."

He looks around at his band of elves and the pack of wolves, and waves them back.

"And now, you seek to leave these woods behind you. I tell you that you will not leave here with what you have taken from the dead man's mouldering tomb. As with everything in these woods, that belongs to me."

Laila nodded and shrugged, she hadn't taken anything except the sword so it was no skin off her nose.
