“Yes, yes agreed my fine northern friend. But first let me examine the creature to determine what manner of foul denizens we may face.”

Corvin examines the creature to determine what manner of foul unholy creation it may be.

INT check?

Corvin can tell that once it were a man. Then it died. Then it rose again. Now it moves no more. Sure this must be some foul necromancy.

-- Corvin may make a statement about what he thinks of this. I (GM) will tell you whether 'tis true or false.

“Hmmm. Yes. Exactly as I suspected. It is a man whose corpse has been re-animated by dark sorcery. I’ve studied such…errr I’ve heard tales of the ways and means of accomplishing such a feat.”

Corvin pauses for dramatic effect ”My friends…I fear we may face an unholy, diabolical necromancer!”

" Dead man...got up again...its a gjenganger...or a draugr...though a pretty weak one if us lot managed to put it down....not to diminish anyones efforts."

" Whats a Knack-Romancer? And is anyone gonna help me with lifting this?"

Sure, Corvin has the right of it. Reanimating the dead must be the work of foul and dark sorceries.

"Yeah, sure thing" Sten sheaths his sword and moves over to the slab to help move it

With a heave, a ho, and the judicious use of muscle, you all push the slab away from its bed.

Making its bed within what you see to be a sarcophagus is little more than of clutch of mouldered bones, time long having taken its toll upon the inhabitant..

Seeing the remains, Max experiences a twinge of guilt at having desecrated the tomb. Indicating the slab they’d gone to so much trouble to move, ‘we should probably put that back before we leave’.

“Don’t you think the occupant might enjoy the better view?” Corvin replies darkly, chortling at his own joke.
