Betala leans against the wall waiting for the others to unlock it for her, though she is surprised when it is the lad and not her fellow pirte who accomplishes the task. " Lets head in." |

"Well done Arkyn, looks like you still have the knack indeed!" Swan congratulates the lad, but quietly, certain she'd heard something on the other side. She picks up her lantern, but shutters it, and then draws her sword as silently as she can. It means she's edging forward into darkness as she goes through the door, but there's slightly less chance of running face-first into an ambush. To help her further she crouches as she goes, in case of a nasty surprise waiting at head height — not the first time she'd have dodged a killing blow that way. |

Blinking at the light that is inexplicably within the room, you all enter. The room is rectangular and as well as the south door that you have entered through, there are closed doors to the north, east, and west. Birds flutter round the room, but as you enter, they all fly off into one corner and nestle in the beard of a man sitting at a table. He is short and stocky, and his long beard stretches from his chin over the table. He is picking small round objects from a pouch and popping them into his mouth. They may be nuts of some kind. As you enter, he raises an eyebrow. |

Swan raises an eyebrow back, and puts her sword cautiously away. "Excuse me, Sir, but you aren't what we expected to find down this well. Are you alright? Do you need rescuing?" |

Beginning up suspect that the well was nothing more than a home for the local eccentric, Taradoc couldn’t help but wonder where the other doors led to. |
